Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993, and the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, has won numerous awards and grants. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the globe regarding policy and research on child abuse in the justice system. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of several professional organizations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
